Batia Magal’s art is ever-evolving, marked by a deeply personal and feminine touch. Her simple calligraphic drawings of female forms and flower-filled vases are the foundation of her unique style, enhanced by brilliant washes of lively colors reminiscent of medieval stained-glass windows. Recently, Magal has incorporated fabric textures and prints into her work, creating collages that blend drawing, print, and fabric to achieve a balanced structural composition. Born in Israel in 1953, she showed remarkable talent from a young age and studied at the ‘Avni Art Institute,’ where she was influenced by renowned artists like Streichman and Wexler.
